BSQ Partner Roger Sahota is a signatory to Open Letter to Interpol

BSQ partner and Interpol expert Roger Sahota is one of a number of attorneys, academics and politicians who have signed an open letter to Interpol raising concerns about the misuse of the Stolen and Lost Travel Document Database (SLTD) by Turkey.

 

In order to bypass Interpol’s Red Notice and Diffusion system. It has been widely reported that Turkish authorities are misusing the SLTD mechanism. Individuals identified as opponents of the Turkish Government have had the passports incorrectly reported as lost or stolen in an attempt to invalidate their travel documentation with a view to securing their return to Turkey, where they are at risk of political reprisals.
