Third Consecutive Discontinuance in 2023 in an Crown Court Indecent Images Prosecution for BSQ

In another successful outcome for BSQ’s private crime department, BSQ client J has been cleared of indecent images charges.

J, a university student was accused by police of being in possession of illegal images downloaded from various social media applications. Having seized J’s phone the police conducted a cursory analysis of his hard drive. BSQ have commented at length on the inadequacies of the initial streamlined analysis carried out by the police in such cases. J’s experience provides another case study of the problems that can arise with the SFRY system. After BSQ made detailed representations to the CPS identifying the weaknesses in their case a decision was made to offer no further action against J.

This is the third discontinuance in sexually related allegations for BSQ in 2023. Earlier this year BSQ secure successful outcomes for BSQ client J in March 2023 at a Crown Court in the South of England and for BSQ client G at a Crown Court in Essex.
