Pamela qualified in 1992, having trained at Powell Spencer & Ptrs, NW6, predominantly in Family & Crime, & founded their Youth Crime Department, becoming partner.
She sat with the Howard League's parliamentary panel, in 1997, "Lost Inside:Imprisonment of Teenage Girls" - Report of the Howard League Inquiry into the Use of Prison Custody for Girls Aged Under 18.
She is immensely proud of her contribution to the League's success in the High Court in 2002 in obtaining recognition of local authority statutory responsibilities for young people even whilst in custody. She remains a committed member of the Howard League and shares concern to avoid the use of custody except as a last resort, most particularly for young offenders and the mentally ill.
She was a freelance advocate from 2002, returning to general crime.
She was awarded a Post Grad. Diploma with Merit from London’s City University in International Business Law, focusing on Competition Law, namely Cartels, Anti Trust, Mergers & Acquisitions.
She speaks fluent Spanish & basic French.
Pamela joined bsb in 2009 and now heads our Youth Crime Team and has developing expertise in Mental Health and Extradition.
She is a Duty Solicitor and a regular at our local courts where her empathy and advocacy produces excellent results for our clients.
