Having qualified in 2008 Cecilia worked for a specialist criminal defence firm in London, where she gained a wealth of experience representing individuals accused of a range of offences across the spectrum.
She embarked on a career in Law driven by her passion for criminal defence and advocacy over 10 years ago as she was motivated to ensure that Justice was seen to be done.
Since her qualification Cecilia found a specialism in acting for persons accused of Fraud by the DWP and Local Authorities. She established and headed up a Benefit Fraud Department at her previous practice, and brings her considerable skils and expertise to BSB.
She has also given talks on benefit fraud legislation and policies to colleagues and will be giving a lecture to the LCCSA with Jon Black on this topic.
A Duty Solicitor since 2009, she quickly attained her Higher Rights qualification allowing her to appear for her clients at the Crown Court.
Cecilia sits on a Board of Trustees for 'Body and Soul' a Charity committed to offering support to individuals infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, based in Angel.
