The Firm

BSB was formed in 2002 by four criminal defence specialists, Roger Sahota, Paul Butcher, James Skelsey and Jonathan Black. All four previously worked for top Legal 500 criminal law practices in London.

The firm has grown quickly and now occupies large offices across three floors in Kings Cross, London. We use leading edge case management technology and have a team of secretarial and paralegal support staff available to help all our solicitors. We have dedicated conference rooms for private consultations and facilities for examining video and audio evidence.

We have been awarded a specialist quality mark by the Legal Services Commission (see Legal Aid Scheme) and are accredited by the Law Society. We are members of the Specialist Fraud Panel (see Business Crime Department) and accept referrals to the Criminal Cases Review Commission.

The lawyers in this practice are affiliated to the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association, the Solicitor Advocates Higher Courts Association, Justice and Liberty. We participate in the Criminal Justice Information Technology Project (CJIT).
