Confiscations

Criminal Confiscations are an extremely draconian aspect of our current criminal legal system.

In effect it means the prosecution gets a double bite of the cherry; if you are found guilty of an offence, they are then able to apply to the Court to have your assets confiscated to the amount that it is believed you have benefited from your criminal conduct.

We will work with expert in-house counsel or members of the independent bar to obtain the best possible result in your case. Very often this will mean negotiating with the prosecution to reduce the benefit and available amount, or in more contentious cases, preparing for a fully contested confiscation hearing.
